The Heartland Centers’ Learning Management System (LMS) is a computer-based, online tool that offers a comprehensive approach to public health education and training. The LMS can be utilized to expand one’s knowledge base and strengthen the skills and abilities that are necessary in the dynamic field of public health.

The Heartland Centers’ LMS provides the following:

  • Comprehensive catalog of courses in a variety of formats
  • Personalized competency assessment
  • Individual user transcripts
  • Printable certificates of completion
  • Downloadable reports for user, course provider and agency managers
  • Provides workforce development programs, certificates and data reports required for agency accreditation

The LMS is integral to achieving the mission of the Heartland Centers by expanding accessibility of programs and products to the academic community, the public health workforce and multi-sector.  The LMS is a dissemination portal for relevant, high quality programs and products available to the workforce through partnerships with CDC Center for Public Health Preparedness and HRSA Public Health Training Center networks, as well as the Public Health Leadership Institutes across the country.
